Indiana On The Fly – Fly Fishing & Wing Shooting Show

Show producer Patti Beasley, who is a fellow flyfishergirl and now good friend, does not know what she has gotten herself into by allowing me to come and do a presentation.
Join us for a fly fishing-wing shooting celebration, January 9, 2010 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Indiana state fairgrounds.
For more information, see the IOTF website.

Hannah, I am looking forward to meeting you and hearing your presentation.
Have a safe trip.
GM – hey, totally looking forward to meeting you as well. Shhh, don’t tell TH that i just started my speech.
In Van now, and in Indi on Thursday. Yay.
See you soon!!!
Just came back from the show, and man – it rocked!
Had a great time and am looking forward to posting a few pics and hearing what greasemonkey and Trout Huntress have to say.
It was a fantastic experience to give a speech about women and angling to a group of women (and boys) who were there to listen to me talk about women, fly fishing, trials, tribulations, and triumphs.
The exhibitors were all super friendly, with great products, many of whom you would recognize. And those that you don’t , i will post about.
Good stuff, good stuff!
IOTF is and was a great experience, and i will be back in 2011.
For those of you are not aware, Patti Beasley (Trout Huntress on the forum), runs the only fly fishing (and wing shooting) show in Indiana, and she does a bang up job. If you get the chance, drop in and check it out next year. If you want specific info, email or pm myself or Patti off of the forum.
I would like to give a shoutout to TH for all the hard work she does and extend my appreciation for allowing me to present.
As always, Patti did an excellent job organizing Indiana on the Fly. I am not sure how she does it, but it works.
It seemed to me that there were a lot more beginner women and men anglers at the show than in the past. I talked to quite a few ladies (and a couple guys) that were just getting started and were excited to hear Hannah speak. I heard through the fly tyers bench that Hannah had the biggest crowd of the day in that area. It makes me happy and excited to see more people wanting to get into fly fishing. And I have to believe that Patti organizing this show in Indiana has a lot to do with it
.
I always enjoy visiting and talking with my new family of club members, cfr participants and volunteers, and fellow fly fishers during the winter months in Indiana. The camaraderie of all the people remind me of the main reason I love fly fishing.
Desi, it was great to meet you and Donnie, and see Patti again. I am excited to come back again next year, and am already dreaming up ideas for next season.
Patti does do a bang up job, and man – does it ever take a lot of work to organize all of the exhibitors. I give the girl such credit.
IOTF was a very fun event, and i met so many nice people who really extended themselves in order to make sure i had a good time.
Good memories and good times!
