Born and raised as a child in Italy, bypassing spin fishing altogether, Patti was taught to fly fish at age 5 by her father. Her love for travel, wing shooting and trout has taken her to many spectacular destinations such as Alaska, Argentina, and Chile.
She loves the experience and the challenge of fishing for many species and is constantly searching for more. Her biggest joy and motivation in fly fishing is being able to share her knowledge and passion for this sport with others.
Patti devotes most of her time to teaching fly casting, fly fishing and fly-tying, sharing her knowledge and expertise with anyone who is interested. She is founder and president of a local fly fishing club called Reel Women-Reel Men of Indianapolis and producer of “Indiana On The Fly” fly fishing trade show. When she’s not off chasing Trout, Redfish, Salmon, Steelhead, Bonefish, Grayling, Dollies or Muskies, Patti can be found in her local rivers fishing for Smallmouth, Largemouth, White bass, Crappie and Bluegill.
“Fishing is part of who I am. There is not a day that goes by where fishing is not somehow part of my day. Whether I fish with friends or alone it brings me tremendous joy. I’m a huntress by nature therefore fishing gives me the challenge and personal gratification I need. To wade in a river in search of fish, making every attempt to succeed is a personal challenge for me and temporarily satisfies my competitive spirit. Fly fishing has taken me to so many beautiful places and I am so grateful to have met so many wonderful people along the way, I hope my journey never ends.”
