Where most anglers would say, " I caught it from the banks of the ...." I now get to reply, " I caught those Carp from the curb. At many parts of the LA River it is like standing on the street and throwing a line from the curb.   Urban fishing. The most interesting aspect of fishing next to one of the busiest Interstates in the nation is you might forget it is there until you hear the highway patrol's loudspeaker barking at some idiot whose about to get a ticket. Stanbery you know what I mean.

I would love to share Duckman with everyone here but it is so vulgar and frankly this is not a typical person we see on the Los Angeles River. Duckman is the exception to the rule of Crazy Idiot. I would love to meet up with him one morning and have him threaten me... I'd have LAPD down there so fast his little bald head would be spinning.

Those mirror carp are pretty interesting looking, i must say.
